My name is Filipe Meneses, and from an early age I was lucky enough to discover my vocation in business management and finance.

I have around 20+ years' experience in the financial sector, with focus on banks and insurance companies. Throughout my career, I have worked on numerous strategic projects such as as financial operations management, digital transformation projects and credit risk leadership for majors banks, both in Portugal and in several Portuguese-speaking African countries, namely Angola, Cabo Verde and São Tomé e Príncipe.

I advocate close consultancy, because more than a consultant I want to be a trusted partner for my clients.

Filipe Meneses - Route

After graduating with a degree in Finance at the ISCTE, I started my professional career at Deloitte in 2006, in the Financial Sector Audit Division. Here, I carried out several audits of leading insurance companies in Portugal and Angola, and then worked as a Team Manager for Audit and Consultancy at several leading banks in Portugal, Angola and other Portuguese-speaking countries.

In 2013 I joined Banco BIC Português, where I started by developing the insurance project by Group BIC in Angola. I joined this insurance company in 2014, at the time it was founded, as General Director. In 2016, I was invited by Banco BIC Angola to reformulate the Compliance area of the institution at a particularly demanding time in this area .

In October 2017 I returned to Portugal, having been invited by EuroBIC to take over the Organization and Quality Department, with the aim of reformulating this area. In this department, I became head of Organization, Project Management and the Quality and Innovation area. Later, by appointment of the Board of Directors, I took on the role of PMO for the Bank's Strategic Plan .

In November 2020, by invitation of the shareholder structure of EuroBIC, I was appointed member of the Board of Directors, as Executive Director, with responsibility for Credit Risk, Capital Markets and Organization and Quality, including the project management component. In 2022, my responsabilites were increased with the Payment Channels and Means as well as the Information Security and Personal Data Protection area. I was subsequently appointed Chairman of the Sustainability and Innovation Committee.
